Hennessey has released video with the record-breaking 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) run in a staggering 13.63 seconds.
More than a week ago Hennessey have announced they were able to set a new record for the fastest car in the 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) run with the Venom GT . Now they are back with video footage showing the heavily modified Lotus Elise/Exige-based car establishing the record at Ellington Airport in Texas, United States.
The development of the car will continue with the 2013 Venom GT2 which is set to get a twin-turbo V8 7.0-liter pushing 1,500 hp (1,118 kW), representing a 300 hp (224 kW) increase over the current model. It will be connected to a new 7-speed paddle-shift transmission or a 6-speed Ricardo manual gearbox. The revised model will feature a new door design with dihedral hinges and a double bubble roof to increase headroom.
