MUSC Drag Race Incident

It was unfortunate that it had to happen. Malaysians, especially those in involved in the motorsport fraternity have been crying for a proper and well managed Drag Strip for years. A Drag Strip that is safe for the racers and the spectators. A Drag Strip that is well managed and  that the public can access with minimal fee imposed so that they can enjoy the sport from a safe and controlled environment. But sadly the cry has fallen into deaf ears. From some reason or another, there is always an excuse. Sadly, the inevitable happened. A crash in a Drag Racing event organized by MUSC Motorsport and sanctioned by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Malaysia. It was an old model Mitsubishi Lancer (its the 1981 model if not mistaken) that lost control of the car and jump into the barrier of trees with the spectators standing behind it. There were several casualties. A lot of contradicting reports. But at the time of this writing, 3 are badly injured and the others received outpatient treatment. I pray for those who were involved a speedy recovery. Lets start the blame game. Like we always do..
