Sepang 1000km Race 3.12.2011


It was Raceday for all of the competitors that is taking part in this year Sepang 1000 Kilometer Endurance Race.Entering its third edition of the increasingly popular S1K a new role as SIC’s year-ender extravaganza. Although this race is not advertised extensively by the organiser, the crowd turn out was not so bad. This year's race was made famous largely by the appearance of the Red Bull Rookie drivers and also the Proton R3 race team. Proton Motorsports have achieved a lot this year especially in the Asia Pacific Rally. So, the Proton R3 race team looks set to emulate this feat and dominate the race.




ELIGIBILITY OF THE DRIVER

Each entry must comprise a minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 drivers. The eligibilities
are as follows: -
  1. Association of Malaysia (AAM) for Circuit Racing. (Minimum competition licence Competitors in possession of a valid competition licence issued by the Automobile Aired: National “C” (Novice))
  2. Competitors in possession of a valid competition licence issued by the Automobile Association of Malaysia/Motorsports Association of Malaysia (AAM/MAM) for Circuit Racing. (Minimum competition licence required: National “C” (Novice) or National).
  3. Competitors in possession of valid FIA International competition licence issued by the respective FIA – National Sporting Authority (ASN) accompanied by a letter or visa of approval from the same to participate in the event.
  4. Any Malaysian team having a foreign driver(s) must hold the Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) entrant/team licence.
  5. Drivers cannot drive for more than one team or change teams after submissions have been made. New or replacement drivers cannot be introduced after Official Practice session has commenced. Teams without a full complement of minimum drivers required will be disqualified.
  6. Novice driver intend to participate in the event must complete a minimum of 2 rounds of the Malaysian Super Series Championship 2011.
    The organiser reserves the right to reject any entry in accordance with the National Competition Rules (NCR) of the AAM. There is no appeal against their decision.

FIA Article 277National Series Production Cars 1601cc to 1800cc
(2,500 units minimum production)
Class 2 FIA Article 254Group N Cars up to 1600cc
FIA Article 255Group A Cars up to 1600cc
FIA Article 277National Series Production Cars up to 1600cc
(2,500 units minimum production)
