The BMW 5-Series Touring was photographed by a spy shot as it was going through its routine series of road test.
The lightly camouflaged prototype reveals some minor changes including new front and rear bumpers, restyled headlights and what seems to be an enlarged grille. The taillights could also have a new design, but we can't be sure quite yet.
Engine options could carryover, but speculation has suggested the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder could have an increased output of 316 bhp (235 kW).
The 2014 BMW 5-Series is expected to be launched next spring, so look for a possible unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show.
