CAMPRO CPS Cylinder Head Port n Polish

Cylinder Head Porting is a process where u do some modification to  the cylinder head to allow larger volume of air into an internal combustion engine compare to the stock factory manufactured engine. The manufactured cylinder head are usually a suboptimal due to design, manufacturing or cost constraints. Porting the cylinder head will allow more air to enter/exit the combustion chamber thus enhancing your engine output.

Daily human experience with air gives the impression that air is light and nearly non-existent as we move slowly through it. However, an engine running at high speed experiences a totally different substance. In that context, air can be thought of as thick, sticky, elastic, gooey and heavy. Pumping it is a major problem for engines running at speed so head porting helps to alleviate this.

There are a few stages of porting and polish. You can refer to your mechanics on what the stages are. Normally the third stage of porting and polish is for race cars or exteme modders. Race cars will need massive volume of air into the cylinder head so that it can burn more fuel.

VS the iPAD2

The Samsung Galaxy TAB 10.1 certainly have a lot of plus point compared to the ipad2. It is slightly smaller and thinner allowing for better grip while typing and handling the tab. The fact that it has built in support for Google Apps, Adobe Flash and Office apps is also a good thing. Video streaming and sounds from the music is better with its HD capabilities and surround speaker. The current trend of developers focusing more on Android platform apps due to its larger market is another great thing for the Samsung Galaxy TAB 10.1. Users can get tonnes of apps for free (compare to the AppStore for Aplle users). All in all i would say this is the tablet to go for if you are in need of a practical one.

Turbocharged CAMPRO 260 hp!

There are a few well known tuners here in Malaysia currently offering the service  to turbocharged your stock S4PH engine (CAMPRO 1.6 engine). It is a new hype here in Malaysia since the past 3 - 4 years. Turbocharging your stock engine to extract more power. Since it is still quite young and some would even say that it is still in its RnD phase, the total cost of the upgrade is quite expensive ranging from RM 4k to RM 12k or limitless depending on the power/boost that the engine is capable to handle. A turbocharged S4PH engine is known to produce power ranging from 150hp to 260hp (highest at the moment). The one below have a maximum 262hp @ 6000 rpm running with 1 bar of boost. It has a massive torque figure of around 29 kg/m. To achieve this is no small feat. The internals of the engines have been upgraded. Forged piston, forged conrod, race bearings, lightened and re-inforced crank and a fully balanced engine is needed. This is one successfull example of a Turbocharged S4PH engine with upgraded internals.

THE ULTIMATE STREET CAR : 2500 HP TOYOTA SUPRA

I was about to post the updates of the 169.6 hp CAMPRO powered Gen2 when i cam across this article from www.speedhunters.com . It is a 2500 hp Toyota Supra. YES! You got it right. Its not 250 hp its an insane 2500 hp street car. I was shocked the first time i see the figure. So i decided to share this article and postpone the updated article of the ever humble 169.6 hp CAMPRO :p

THE ULTIMATE STREET CAR: CHRIS RADO'S 2500 HP SUPRA

There was only one car that was fitting enough to end this month's Street Cars & Sleepers theme. And this is it. For the past couple of years, the maniac known as Chris Rado has been devising plans to build his ultimate street car. Of course, for someone who pilots a 2000 hp drag car and the Team NFS time attack car, his interpretation of 'ultimate' is somewhat more extreme than what you or I might come up with. For Chris Rado, his ultimate street car is this Toyota Supra. Metal wide-body, custom wheels, custom brakes. And a twin turbo V8 producing 2500hp.

To unveil this stunning street car, we thought it best if Chris Rado walked you through its build.
Chris Rado: As soon as you walk up to the vehicle and see the 6.2 liter Toyota V8 engine and the 76mm billet titanium turbos on the WORLD Racing Supra you soon realize this is definitely not your normal Supra build.

Mike Alejos is point man on this project coordinating many aspects of the build to ensure the Supra meets our standards along with jumping in and getting dirty whenever needed to make this rolling missile come to life.

Robbie Miller from Robbie Miller Racecars is doing all the chassis fab along with engine, transmission, and drivetrain mounting. When it comes to putting a chassis together properly and making things work well, there are few people that can do what Robbie does in his sleep.

Everybody knows that if you plan on going fast you should probably have one - or in my opinion two - of these wonderful devices on your car. Mike from Kognition built us some monster wings so that a car like this could really put the power down and stay glued.

It’s a BIG engine… which one you ask? This is a 376 cubic inch Toyota 3UR-FE V8 which can rev to 10,000 RPMs and handle up to 50 lbs of boost. This power plant is typically found in most late model Toyota Tundras and Sequoias.

Brembo Italy worked in conjunction with Race Technologies here in the US to come up with this custom Brembo GT-R kit for our Supra. Let’s remember the above picture is of the 15-inch rear calipers. Just wait until you see what’s up front.

The wheel and tire combo has definitely been given my seal of approval, or maybe I’m just so tired here that I wasn’t sure what to do when the camera was pointed at me, so I just went with the classic thumbs up!!

Here Scotty puts the finishing touches on as she’s lowered to the ground for the first time.
What you see here is just a taste of what's to come; an introduction to the WORLD Racing Top Speed BMF Supra. 2500hp, 3000lb curb weight, 8 cylinders, two billet titanium turbos, and enough wing and rubber that you might just think its an airplane. For those who happen to be in Vegas for SEMA, you can check it out in person. If you dare.

Is this the Proton Pesona R??

Spyshot of the Proton Pesona R

Received this in a email this afternoon and was quite amazed by the looks but definitely not the colour of the Proton Pesona R. Expected to be launch somewhere in the 1st Quarter of next year, it is taunted to be "The" Car from the Proton's production line to take on the Civics and the Vios. The VW influence is there to be seen. The front bumper is somewhat similar to the Golf. But then, almost every car manufacturers nowadays share their design and technology capabilities. Enjoy the front view first...

CAMPRO N/A Monster (169.6 hp on wheel)

BK motorsport has recently successfully engineered a CAMPRO engine that produces 169.6 hp@ 7000 rpm on the wheel and 188.6 N m. Compared to the stock engine that only produces a mere 110 hp@ 6000 rpm and 145 N m of torque. This N/A (naturally aspirated) monster/machine will be extensively competing in the local drag and track scene. This is a huge achievement considering the huge gain in Horse Power for a Normally Aspirated engine is no no simple task when you are  trying to keep the parts as stock as they can be.

About CAMPRO engine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campro_engine

Stock CAMPRO Engine

BK Motorsport Team has been doing upgrades and RnD of the CAMPRO engine since the engine rolled out of factory on a Proton Gen2. There have been a lot of blood, sweat and money....not to mention engine blow and sleepless night invested in the RnD to get the correct recipe and tuning for this engine. You can visit them in their FB page...

http://www.facebook.com/pages/BK-Motorsports/261097237242905

Now this CAMPRO engine produces the same output as a stock B18c USDM.

To date, the 169.6 hp Engine has been further upgraded with aftermarket performance internals engine parts. There is an increase in the power output...(not letting u guys know just yet)....stay tune for the updates..

Awesome 1400hp 4G63

For my first post of this new blog, i will introduce to you a work of art from some of the most extreme car tuners that appropriately name themselves Extreme Tuners in Athens, Greece, and the name is no joke. Pushing limits requires deep pocket and high knwoledge and skills, and these guys have it all. What they do is producing state of the art engine with massive horsepowers. The entire lengthy discussion can be found here (http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-dyn...ne-2007-a.html), but unless you feel like reading quite a few pages of posts, I'll post the highlights here.

The list of cars that they have completed is nothing short of amazing:

2006 - N/A ford cosworth 4cylinder 16v engine 119cui: 416hp -11,900rpms
2007 - Ford cosworth 4cylinder 16v Turbo engine 120cui: 1280hp 47psi (custom triple ball bearing 80mm turbo 119lbs/min)
2007 – Mitsubishi Evo 8 4g63 4cylinder 16v Turbo engine: 1416hp – 57psi (custom quad ball bearing 82mm turbo 132lbs/min)

Getting 700whp/L from 2.0L @ 8500rpm is one hell of a job, to be getting a mere 10 hp itself is considered to be a great achievement, but what do you need if you get bored and want to shoot for 2000whp?

Cast Garrett compressor wheels (right) tend to come apart above 50 psi. CNC billet aluminum wheels (middle) are stronger, but why not be different and use your own CNC billet titanium (left) compressor?

A really massive turbo is needed, which in this case is a 108mm twinscroll T4 turbo, with custom quad ball bearing CHRA and 100psi capability.

Custom ported head, complete with titanium valves and copper-beryllium valve seats:

And you're going to need a set of camshafts to handle the rpm and withstand tremendous ramp pressures, so why not a set of hollow titanium billets with DLC at only 234 grams each?

Custom set of billet mmcs-titanium connecting rods at 286g each. Rod/Stroke ratio is 2.07:

For pistons, a set of custom beryllium pistons with DLC fits the bill, and since methanol is the fuel, 13:1 SCR is fine:

A strong piston pin is needed as well:

Look at those sexy looking custom titanium billet crank: Drool

Even the stock fuel injectors for the 4G63 engine is being thrown away for this set of 9000cc/min injectors:

The stock 4G63 block even tho considered to be one of the best if not the best in the industry is being dumped for this custom block made from billet aluminum:

And to put all that power to the gearbox, one needs a suitable multiplate clutch:

Yes, it is smaller than a cam gear:

An example of very efficient turbo manifold design from one of their recent projects:

And last but not least, a dynosheet from this car, running 'only' 48psi and hydraulic cams:

Most definitely one of the great Engineering achievement in the automotive industry.
